M&C Saatchi LA Chief Strategy Officer speaks at the 3% Conference

Kate Bristow, M&C Saatchi LA’s Chief Strategy Officer, was one of the speakers at this year’s 3% Conference, which took place on Nov 3-4 in New York. The 3% Movement was started five years ago in response to the fact that only 3% of all U.S. Creative Directors were women. In a world where women influence upwards of 80% of consumer spending and 60% of social media sharing, clients and agencies should be concerned about increasing female involvement at the highest levels of the business. Since its inception, the 3% Movement has been influential in helping to raise the number of female creative directors to 11%, while giving agencies a clear road map of ways to champion female creative talent and leadership.

“This year’s conference challenged the audience members to decide what they were going to do to change the ratio,” said Bristow. “The combination of inspiring main stage speakers and master class sessions with specific advice and suggestions for the young talent at the event meant that participants left with a clear sense of how to make a real difference in their agencies.”
