M&C Saatchi LA Puts Oakley Products To The Test With Medal-Winning Skiers Simon Dumont & Stale Sandbech
To demonstrate the power and innovation of Oakley’s optical and apparel, agency M&C Saatchi LA created a series of short content films featuring world-renowned, Oakley-sponsored athletes. Free skier and X-Games Gold Medalist Simon Dumont and X-Games and Olympic Slopestyle medalist Stale Sandbech put Oakley’s design and technology through high intensity tests. Get in on the action here:
“Arguably, Oakley makes the most technical gear available,” comments M&C Saatchi LA ECD James Bray. “The R&D they put into their lenses, for instance, is unfathomable and it can take hours just to explain it. As impressive as it is, we only have a few, valuable, social media seconds. So, we translated that upper stratosphere tech into hyper-real world tests. Tests that aren’t boring to watch and don’t lose the viewer at the first mention of light refractions.”
The project is the inaugural motion media campaign created by M&C Saatchi LA for Oakley’s social channels. Oakley designs, develops and manufactures sports performance equipment and lifestyle accessories. Prizm, BioZone and FNDry are the film’s highlighted products, designed and developed for skiers and other winter weather conditions and pursuits. The films were shot at Snowmass in Aspen, CO.
